Usage

Inline code -- a command, a file path, a configuration key, a literal value -- rendered in dark blue on a light blue ground so it separates from the prose. The companion to Template:Navigation; both keep their styling in one place rather than repeating it inline on every use.

Always pass the content as 1=. Inline code very often contains an equals sign (param=deprecated, --tunable-option=reset), and without the explicit 1= MediaWiki reads everything before the = as a parameter name and the snippet disappears.

Renders as: /var/log/qs/qs_audit.log, param_units=B.

For multi-line examples use a <pre> block instead -- and note a <pre> cannot carry wiki links, so anything that needs to be clickable belongs in this template.

The colours survive dark mode: the DarkMode extension applies filter: invert(1) hue-rotate(180deg), which flips lightness and preserves hue, so dark blue on pale blue becomes light blue on dark blue.
