User roles represent the list of operations that a user assigned with that role can do. Here you can change the name and description for the role to indicate it's intended purpose. In some cases you may create a role for a module or service like Microsoft VSS in those cases you'll want to create a role which is restricted to view operations and storage volume.. be sure to provide a good description for these custom roles so that they properly convey their intended use.

Navigation: Security --> Management Roles --> Role --> Modify (toolbar)
