QuantaStor elects a 'master node' (also called 'Grid Primary' node) through which configuration changes are communicated through in order to keep all nodes in sync with the latest configuration state. In order to make the change over to another grid master node automatic you'll need to add a Cluster VIF that has this express purpose of electing the current master node.
