QuantaStor product releases utilize Ubuntu Server LTS release cycles and follow the product LTS End-Of-Life calendar used by Cannonical.

QuantaStor v3.x releases are based on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS QuantaStor v4.x releases will be based on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

QuantaStor appliances refer to the Ubuntu security package servers so that important security updates can be applied as they are made available by the Ubuntu community.
