AWS Cloud Integration
QuantaStor's Cloud Containers feature enables one to setup a NAS Gateway for S3 compatible AWS cloud storage buckets.
Overview Configuration Steps
- Login to your AWS Management Console: https://console.aws.amazon.com/console/home
- Navigate to IAM to get your access key and secret.
For more information on how to create accounts and access keys for accounts, refer to https://docs.aws.amazon.com/general/latest/gr/aws-sec-cred-types.html#access-keys-and-secret-access-keys
Add provider credentials to AWS within QuantaStor
Select the Amazon S3 provider in the Quantastor UI to enter the access key and secret key.
Create/Add Cloud Container(s)
Now navigate to the Cloud Containers section and then Import or Create a new Cloud Container using the Amazon S3 credentials you entered before. Note that after you create a new container you will find a Network Share listed in the main Storage Management -> Network Shares section which represents the container and makes it accessible via NFS and SMB.
