Snapshot schedules in storage systems are used to create point-in-time copies (snapshots) of data for various purposes, such as data protection, backup, and recovery. These snapshots can be used to restore data to a previous state in case of data corruption, accidental deletion, or other issues.

The "Update Selections for Snapshot Schedule" is a feature in QuantaStor, its purpose is to allow users or administrators to modify the criteria or conditions that determine which data is included in the snapshots created by a particular schedule. This could involve specifying which volumes or file systems should be included in the snapshot, setting the frequency and retention policies for the snapshots, and other relevant parameters.
