Select the S3 Gateway entry to remove.

In QuantaStor, the "Remove S3 Gateway" feature is used to remove an S3-compatible gateway that has been previously configured and deployed within the QuantaStor storage management system.

The purpose of the "Remove S3 Gateway" function is to cleanly remove the S3 gateway configuration and associated settings from QuantaStor. This action effectively disables the S3-compatible interface and removes the gateway's visibility and management capabilities within the QuantaStor interface.

When removing an S3 gateway in QuantaStor, the following actions are typically taken:

  • Deactivate the Gateway: The S3 gateway is deactivated to prevent further access and interaction with the S3-compatible interface.
  • Cleanup Configuration: The configuration settings and metadata associated with the S3 gateway are removed from the QuantaStor system.
  • Data Retention: The removal of the S3 gateway does not delete any stored objects or data that may have been accessed through the gateway. The underlying data remains intact and accessible through other means within QuantaStor.

By removing an S3 gateway using the "Remove S3 Gateway" feature, administrators can effectively manage their storage infrastructure and discontinue the S3-compatible interface if it is no longer required or needs to be reconfigured.

It's important to note that removing an S3 gateway does not impact the data stored within the associated storage infrastructure managed by QuantaStor. The removal process primarily focuses on removing the S3 gateway configuration and its associated management features.

Before removing an S3 gateway, it's advisable to ensure that you have proper backups and that the S3 gateway is no longer needed or has been properly replaced with an alternative solution.
